The consulting industry is dominated by a few large consulting companies. About a quarter of the approximately 30 billion Euro turnover on the German consulting market is generated by 25 of the 16,000 companies – led by the big three: McKinsey, Boston Consulting Group and Bain & Company. But when it comes to the quality of consulting, small, specialized firms sometimes outstrip the big ones.
